For more than a decade, America Achieves has helped leaders build high-performing organizations; designed and shaped federal policy; advised philanthropy; and helped create major philanthropic programs in workforce development and education.
Our organization has launched, scaled, and evaluated highly effective initiatives that focus on historically under-leveraged and underserved populations. These include Merit America, Accelerate, CollegePoint, Results for America, and Matriculate.
Over the past four years, America Achieves has helped to create and shape over $2 billion of federal funding opportunities for place-based inclusive economic development—including the Build Back Better Regional Challenge, Good Jobs Challenge, and the Regional Tech Hubs. We then supported dozens of regional coalitions that applied for this funding, with a combined success rate more than four times greater than the national average.
Through this work, we developed our Good Jobs Economy Strategy—to support and guide place-based efforts advancing a good jobs-focused inclusive growth. We are building on our track record, lessons learned, and relationships with dozens of communities around the country to now support a nationwide network of regions building local Good Jobs Economies.
