Seth Kolker serves as Tutoring Program Manager at America Achieves. He initially served as the organization’s Tutoring Policy Captain, helping shape and inform federal policy on high-impact tutoring. Then, he worked with CEO Jon Schnur to develop and incubate a national initiative seeking to weave tutoring into the fabric of public education. Seth continues to support the initiative as it spins off as a new nonprofit organization called Accelerate, under the leadership of Kevin Huffman.

Seth began his career in education as a high-school math teacher in Central Falls, Rhode Island. He founded a program called How to Change the World, which equips students who understand the impact of broken policies with skills to fix them – and which was recognized by the League of Women Voters with an award in civics education. Seth has also worked as a community organizer, curriculum developer, and a policy advisor on the Education Policy Committee of the Biden-Harris campaign. He is a Schwarzman and Knight-Hennessy Scholar, has a bachelor’s from Yale and a master’s in education from Rhode Island College, and is a candidate for a JD-MBA from Stanford. Seth calls Rhode Island home.
