Victoria Van Cleef is an experienced education management consultant and former Executive Vice President at TNTP, a nonprofit that fights educational inequality. She led knowledge management, service innovations, teacher and leader pipeline programs, surveys and diagnostics, and impact measurement. She spearheaded innovative services, including a BA to teacher licensure program and supporting schools and districts to develop leadership pathways, coaching school leaders on developing and retaining their irreplaceable teachers, strengthening instructional culture, and making critical hiring, tenure, retention, and promotion decisions. She has driven growth, knowledge management, product development, and human capital initiatives, all with the goal of creating positive change for young people.

Prior to joining TNTP, Victoria served as a consultant to the Stupski Foundation, identifying best practices to support whole-district reform efforts, and as Senior Research Associate and Special Assistant to the Dean of New York University’s Steinhardt School of Education, where she coordinated projects devoted to strengthening the teacher force in high-need schools and districts. She served as Special Assistant to the Chancellor for the New York City Public Schools under two administrations. Victoria also worked in curriculum and product development for The Efficacy Institute. Victoria holds a BA in Classical Civilizations from UCLA and an MA in Public Policy Analysis from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service.
