Lauren’s professional experience spans 20 years in management consulting, journalism and economic development. As a McKinsey consultant, she advised companies and organizations on strategy, risk and people challenges and led McKinsey’s research efforts on what makes CEOs excel. As a Washington Post journalist, she covered foreign affairs, national security and long-term investigations. She has also worked in microfinance and as an adviser to small- and medium-sized businesses seeking financing in New York City and in Central America. She has an MBA from Stanford and a BA in Economics from Yale.
