Irene Newman serves as Senior Human Resources and Administrative Manager, working directly with the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer on all phases of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, professional development, and performance management. Prior to joining America Achieves,  Irene was the Human Resources Manager for Malaria No More, a 501 (c)(3) organization where she was responsible for supporting business initiatives, development of HR strategies, and plans, to ensure organizational effectiveness.  Previous positions include human resources leadership role in various industries including retail, financial, and airline.

Irene has also been involved in education as a Substitute Teacher and a Language Arts 8th & 4th grade Test Scorer at The Mamaroneck School District, College Prep Mentor at The Bronx Aerospace High School, College Summit Yale University Writing Coach Volunteer, and Seminar Trainer at Baruch College,  Workforce Readiness/Business Preparation. Irene is a graduate of Hunter College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, and Master’s degree course work in Human Resources.
