Marie is a Development Manager at America Achieves, working with the team on development, communications, and special projects. Prior to joining America Achieves, Marie was a member of the national development team at New Leaders for New Schools for five years, most recently as the Executive Director of Corporate and Foundation Partnerships. She also has consulted with several education nonprofit organizations on development. Marie has served as a sixth-grade teacher with a public charter school in Oakland and as a youth writing workshop facilitator. She began her career in education as part of the national expansion team at Citizen Schools. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Brown University.

It’s critical that we as a country understand the urgent need to improve education, and work together to ensure that every kid has the best opportunity to succeed.
