Ashley joins the America Achieves team as Senior Manager for Strategy. In this role, she supports and manages education-to-workforce initiatives that seek to narrow the skills gap in regions across the country. Ashley brings with her almost a decade of non-profit experience in state education policy, including strategic planning and implementation, opportunity youth, and college and career readiness. Before America Achieves, Ashley worked at the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO), the D.C. based organization representing education secretaries across all states, as the program manager for the New Skills for Youth initiative. In her role, Ashley managed a network of ten states seeking to dramatically increase the number of students completing a career pathway that culminates in post-secondary degree or credential with labor market value. Prior to this, Ashley served as the Senior Associate for Strategy and Implementation at CCSSO, assisting the Deputy Executive Director in designing and enacting external initiatives that supported K-12 agendas across all 50 states, territories and extra US jurisdictions. As an independent consultant, Ashley has also provided strategic planning and program design recommendations to clients serving opportunity and at-risk youth.

Ashley holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Duke University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Elon University in Sociology and Dance Performance. Ashley lives in New York City with her husband and their dog, Bodie.
