Our two-pronged approach supports the expansion of skills training programs that allow students from diverse populations to get good jobs. First, we are partnering with an entrepreneur to build and launch a new non-profit provider of “last mile skills training,” making exemplary training with real jobs outcomes available to low- and moderate-income students who have typically been unable to afford such programs. Second, we are building a network of leading last mile skills training providers to pilot, test, evaluate, improve, and implement new interventions to expand the number and diversity of students successfully completing programs resulting in good jobs and bring efforts to scale in new and existing regions, in response to labor market needs.
